CHB empowers children & youth (student athletes) to be successful on and off the court. We teach students to embody the principles of teamwork and dedication in the sport of basketball and in everyday life. It’s our belief that our student athletes benefit not only from learning the fundamentals of the game, but also from a strong sense of self and care for our community. That’s why we give a portion of the proceeds from our skill development clinics back to our local gyms, schools and businesses.
CHB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on developing children & youth in the Central Florida and surrounding areas. Our purpose is to provide youth with an experience that fosters positive self-esteem, teamwork, and individual growth through personal achievement and as a team member. We are committed to the development of athletic capability and sportsmanship, by focusing on fundamentals of basketball (and other sports) in an environment that supports all skill levels. We offer an opportunity for the student-athlete to develop year-round.
CHB also understands the importance of giving back to our community. We are more than basketball. We are a dedicated, community non-profit that collaborates with local gyms, schools, and businesses. We give a portion of the proceeds from our skill development clinics back to our community partners. It's our belief that the youth benefit not only from learning the fundamentals of the game, but also from strong sense of community.
At CHB we are compliant with the Safe Sport Act requiring background screening and child abuse awareness training for all of our coaches, staff, and adult volunteers interacting with youth. Child abuse awareness training is provided by Abuse Prevention Systems and background checks are provided by Sports Engine in partnership with the National Center for Safety Initiatives.
